Hot Yoga: What to Expect in a Heated Class

Hot yoga is one of the most talked-about styles we offer at Nourish & Flourish Wellness. Our heated classes — including Hot 26 and Wildfire Flow — are practiced at 85–90°F, creating an environment that deepens your practice in ways a regular-temperature class can't.

Why Heat?

The warmth helps your muscles warm up faster, allowing for greater flexibility and a reduced risk of injury. The heat also promotes sweating, which many practitioners find deeply cleansing and detoxifying.

What to Bring

- **Extra water** — you'll sweat more than a typical class - **A towel** (or two) — one for your mat, one for your face - **Lightweight, breathable clothing** — cotton gets heavy when wet; moisture-wicking fabric works best

Tips for Your First Heated Class

1. **Hydrate beforehand** — drink plenty of water in the hours leading up to class 2. **Eat lightly** — a heavy meal before class will make you uncomfortable 3. **Take breaks** — it's completely okay to pause, rest in child's pose, or step out 4. **Listen to your body** — dizziness or nausea means you need to slow down

Our Heated Classes

**Hot 26** follows a specific sequence of 26 postures in the heat. It's methodical, predictable, and deeply rewarding. **Wildfire Flow** is more dynamic — expect core sculpting, strength intervals, and steady, intentional heat. It's intense but empowering.

Both classes are open to all levels. Our instructors always provide modifications, and you're never expected to push beyond your limits.
